Relaying

Choose the color of the wool, the number of layers, the thread tension… everything is possible 🙂

Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is renewed! Are your vibraphone or marimba sticks worn out, the core is starting to come apart, and they now sound too harsh? No matter the brand, I'll take care of it.
I first have to remove the heads with a crowbar (or by hand for some...), then the last layers of wool. Once the core (and any underlayers) have been checked, I pierce it again to remove the remaining glue. Then comes the winding stage, where more than 20m of thread will wind the core. To hold everything together and make it solid, I then have to do several dozen stitches, thread and needle, by hand. Once the heads are ready, glue, fit, test, play... This takes between 30 minutes for a pair and 1h30 for the longest ones.
And there you have it, your baguettes are good for 10 years!
The price is therefore essentially composed of a little raw material (thread, wool, glue, etc.), and a lot of labor and patience.
